Pros and cons of iPoodThai app for iPhone and iPad
iPoodThai app good for
Its nice software.
But, I am Japanease...
I want Japanease version too.
For a 10 day trip to Thai it is great. Gives voice. Gives written in Thai, Roman Characters, and English. Most words and phrases were found. One key word missing for travel was airport.
Nice application. The audio works well. Audio won’t come out if your iPhone is on silent mode.
Now I can learn to talk to my father in Thai. Thats so awesome! Whoever made this must be awesome!
I lived in bangkok for 6 years and managed to learn less Thai than is in this program. If I could survive in Thailand six years with less Thai under my belt, this little program should amply see you through a visit or short stay. Pronounciations are authentic and clear. All in all this is a very handy and well done app. Many thanks to the creators!
Ive noticed a few phrases that seem to be uncommon or strange ways of saying things, but all in all this app is fantastic. More depth and feature-completeness than many competing apps costing much more. Many useful, practical phrases and not a lot of fluff.
Id like to see a search function that supports searching the catalog of phrases in English or Thai, and it would be very cool if some phrases were presented as conversation examples. Perhaps some brief text giving grammar tips. Just throwing out ideas, its well worth the money already :-)
Some bad moments
This looked like exactly what I needed for my upcoming trip to Thailand. It says it works for the Iphone and Ipod Touch. I downloaded it, but it does not work. 2.99 for nothin.
No audio???!!!! Tried taking phone off silent and still no audio ;(
